The Security Agreement between the Government of Romania and the Government of the Slovak Republic on the Mutual Protection of Classified Information was signed at ORNISS Headquarters, on 6 March 2007.
The Agreement was signed by Secretary of State Prof. dr. MARIUS PETRESCU, Director General of ORNISS, on behalf of the Romanian party and by Mr. FRANTISEK BLANÁRIK, Director of the Slovak National Security Authority, on behalf of the Slovak party.
The signing of this Agreement is very important for the development of the bilateral relationship between Romania and the Slovak Republic as it requires the special engagement of the two National Security Authorities in the protection of both national and collective security interests, contributing directly to the consolidation of the European and Euro-Atlantic security environment.
Representatives of ORNISS, of the Romanian Designated Security Authorities and of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, as well as representatives of the Slovak National Security Authority participated in the signing ceremony.
On this occasion, the heads of the National Security Authorities stated the special importance of this bilateral Agreement for the development of the relations between the two countries, the exchange of classified information accounting as a significant part of the bilateral cooperation.
